The Big Crypto Giveaway, which had a quiet soft launch earlier this year, is now being pushed hard. CMC Group's October newsletter, out 1 October, says the outbound campaign is "officially live": a large email campaign to a new audience, plus social and video, all under the banner Don't Tell Karen. The site is TheBigCryptoGiveaway.com.

The company says it held the campaign back on purpose until the Liquid platform was "exactly where we wanted it". The point of the giveaway isn't the giveaway. It's the front door: people arrive for the prize, then find Liquid, then FUSD and FUST and the rest of the group. Token purchases earn extra entries, which is how the two ends connect.

The Karen bit

The site tells you who the company would like you to tell about it and, in its words, who it really doesn't. It's a joke with a job: a campaign that asks you to share it is easier to share when it has a line attached. The newsletter signs off with "if there's any real-life Karen energy in the house, we don't want to hear it."

What a share gets you

Holders and community members are being asked to share the campaign and use their referral codes. That's the model across the whole group: referral links on Liquid pay the referrer for life on collections created by wallets they bring in, and the giveaway adds entries for purchases. If you're sharing it, know that you're part of the sales team, and say so when you post.

Where it will show up

The Giveaway has the back cover of Issue 15 of Crypto Magazine, which went to print this week with Liquid Apes on the front. The magazine's US distribution has just expanded, and the company is targeting a million readers globally by the end of the year. Whether the email campaign and the print run turn into Liquid users is something the platform's volume will show, and the revenue share top-ups on the 1st of each month are a public way to watch it.
