How we check facts

  1. We start from the official source. Scam figures, warnings and reporting steps come from government agencies first, such as the FBI and its Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), the FTC, the IRS and state regulators. We link the exact page or report and say what year it covers.
  2. We read what already ranks. Before we write, we read the top search and YouTube results on the topic, so our guide answers the questions people really ask and covers what the others miss.
  3. Every number is checked against its source before we publish. If we can't confirm a figure, it comes out.
  4. Claims about a project come from the chain or the project's own documents, not from its marketing or from social media.
  5. The editor reads and checks every guide before it goes live. Robert Stone signs off on each one and is responsible for what it says.
  6. Every page shows who wrote it and when. When we change a page, the date changes too.
  7. We never promise results. No "guaranteed", no price targets, no coin tips.

The official sources we use most

Been scammed? Report it to the FBI at ic3.gov and to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. Then read our guide: what to do next. Anyone who promises to get your money back for a fee is a scam too.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it on the page and add a dated note at the bottom saying what changed. We don't quietly rewrite. Spotted a mistake? Email news@defimarketjournal.com. Every message reaches the editor.

How we make money

Multimedia packages (press release distribution), sponsored placements that always say Sponsored at the top, and affiliate links that are disclosed on the page where they appear. Nobody pays for a guide or for what it says. Our connections, including Rob's role at Crypto Magazine, are listed on About.

Our promises to readers

We give first, we don't tell you what to buy, we write for the newest person in the room, we check the knot, and we never sell your email. The full version: How We Treat Readers.

Questions, corrections or tips: news@defimarketjournal.com or our contact form. Both go straight to the editor.
